The rock musical that took NYC by storm last year, earning the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, comes to Boston. It’s called ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’, and it tells the story of a trailer-park transvestite’s rise to the top of the glam rock’n'roll heap. The original cast recording, featuring music by the songwriting team of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, is already out, and the Boston production is directed by Peter Askin, who directed the original NYC production.
